एक अमेरिकी महिला जिसका नाम Brook Eddy है और वो एक प्रबल चाय प्रेमी हैं. Brook Eddy ने 2007 में 'भक्ति चाय' (Bhakti Chai) नाम की एक कंपनी खोली थी. ये कपंनी खोलने का निर्णय उन्होंने तब लिया था, जब वो इंडिया से वापस अपने देश अमेरिका गई और भारत जैसी चाय बनाने में विफ़ल रहीं. आपको ये जानकर हैरानी होगी कि 2018 में, उनकी कंपनी का अनुमानित राजस्व सात मिलियन डॉलर है.

अमेरिका की एक वीकली मैगज़ीन के मुताबिक़, Brook Eddy का चाय के प्रति लगाव और प्यार 2002 में उनकी भारत यात्रा के दौरान बढ़ा था. लेकिन जब 2006 में वो वापस अमेरिका के शहर कोलोराडो पहुंची, तो उनको वहां की चाय में वो स्वाद नहीं मिला जो भारत की चाय में था. उस दौरान वो भारतीय चाय के स्वाद के लिए तरस रहीं थीं, लेकिन कोलोराडो के लोकल कैफ़ेज़ में उनको इंडियन टी के स्वाद के आस-पास का स्वाद भी नहीं मिला. इसलिए 2006 में ही Eddy ने एक कंपनी खोलने का फ़ैसला किया, जो भक्ति के आदर्शों पर आधारित थी.अपनी इस कंपनी के लिए वो अकसर भारत आया-जाय करती थीं. धीरे-धीरे उन्होंने अपनी कार के पीछे एक ठेला जैसा जोड़कर मेसन की बर्नियां (Mason Jars) को बेचना शुरू किया. और कुछ ही समय में उनके प्रशंसकों की संख्या बढ़ती गई और वो पॉपुलर हो गई. और केवल एक साल के अंदर ही भक्ति चाय ने अपनी पहली वेबसाइट लॉन्च कर दी. और देखते ही देखते कार पर घूमने वाली ये कंपनी बड़े स्तर के बिज़नेस में तब्दील हो गई.
Ms Eddy दो जुड़वा बच्चों की सिंगल मदर हैं, और उन्होंने अपने चाय के बिज़नेस के लिए अपनी फ़ुलटाइम जॉब भी छोड़ दी. ताकि वो चाय बनाने की सही प्रक्रिया को सीख कर भारतीय चाय के इस अनूठे स्वाद के साथ उपभोक्ताओं को जोड़ पाएं. और सही मायनों में देखा जाए तो उनके ये चाय का बिज़नेस सामाजिक स्तर पर और पर्यावरणीय परिवर्तन में एक बदलाव लाने का काम भी कर रहा है.
